WW1 and Hooe - Brassey's Boys

[Steven Newport Well, this is intruiging. No notes of my fathers I have access to but there is something in storage. However, I have been able to shed a little light on this, as follows:]

It seems this may refer to the two sons of Thomas Brassey, 1805-1870. These were:

Thomas Brassey (1836-1918) The eldest son, a Liberal Member of Parliament who was later created the 1st Earl Brassey and served as Governor of Victoria, Australia.
Henry Arthur Brassey (1840-1891) A Liberal Member of Parliament for Sandwich.
Albert Brassey (1844-1918) A soldier and Conservative Member of Parliament for Banbury.

...Although their contributon here is a mystery at this point - until I dig my fathers notes out.
